Save the Family has launched our annual Holiday Sponsorship program. Members of the community, businesses, churches, and groups may sign up to sponsor a family for Thanksgiving and the December holidays.
Participating individuals and groups will receive a shopping and check list specifically designed for each holiday.
The Thanksgiving checklist includes helpful reminders and a list of suggested non-perishable items for Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets. Items include, but are not limited to, a disposable aluminum roasting pan; jars or cans of turkey gravy; boxes of stuffing; onions; potatoes; cans of green beans, kernel corn and yams; fruit juice and a $30 grocery gift card for perishable items.
For the December holidays, volunteers will be provided with a “wish list” of items for specific families living in Save the Family transitional or permanent housing as well as families and individuals enrolled in Save the Families programs and services.
Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets will be delivered on Nov. 20 and Holiday deliveries are scheduled on Dec. 18 and 19.
