The 2026 Save the Family Welcome Home Gala brought together an incredible room filled with community leaders, partners, donors, advocates, volunteers, and supporters — all united by one shared belief: every family deserves a safe place to call home and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
And wow… what a night it was.
From inspiring stories to powerful moments of connection, the sold-out event was a celebration of hope, resilience, and what’s possible when a community comes together to support families across Arizona.
Throughout the evening, guests heard about the growing housing crisis facing families in Maricopa County — including rising homelessness, increasing eviction filings, and the lack of affordable housing options. But while the challenges are real, the energy in the room was focused on something even bigger: solutions.
Save the Family CEO Robyn Julien, shared the vision behind Phoenix Scholar House — Arizona’s first education-focused affordable housing community for single parents pursuing higher education.
Set to officially open this year, Phoenix Scholar House represents more than housing. It’s a launchpad for families working toward long-term stability, career growth, and generational change. Guests learned how the nationally recognized Scholar House model combines affordable housing with education and wraparound support services — creating life-changing outcomes for parents and children alike.
The room was especially moved by Clare, who took the stage alongside her two daughters to share her family’s journey.
Clare spoke honestly about overcoming housing instability with the support of Save the Family and how having stability transformed her future. Today, she is thriving, giving back to her community, and creating new opportunities for her children. Her story was a powerful reminder that when families have support, stability, and someone who believes in them, incredible things can happen.
