Save the Family’s Adopt-a-Family season is officially underway — and thanks to our incredible community, Thanksgiving was a beautiful reminder of just how much kindness lives here in the Valley.
This week, a steady stream of cars showed up at our Mesa headquarters with Thanksgiving groceries and gift cards for families working to rebuild, help get prepared for the holiday season.

This year’s Adopt-a-Family program received an early boost from a $10,000 gift from SRP, helping ensure families overcoming homelessness have what they need to celebrate the season. “This cherished tradition gives families more than food and presents—it reminds them that their community cares,” shared Robyn Julien, CEO of Save the Family.

With Thanksgiving complete, we’re now gearing up for the next wave of holiday giving — Adopt-a-Family for Christmas!
Through this program, donors provide wrapped gifts from each family member’s wish list along with a grocery gift card for a holiday meal.
Holiday donation details:
- Gift value: $50–$75 per family member
- Plus: A $50 grocery gift card
- Drop-off date: Monday, December 15, 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
