Save the Family was thrilled to visit with Mark Coakley this week at BKD Backyard Joint in Chandler. BKD Executive Chef Mark Coakley was honored for his tireless efforts to feed hospital workers and musicians who are struggling throughout the COVID19 pandemic. He received a $500 Pay It Forward Award, and he and co-owner Kelly Cooper wanted to pay that forward to Save the Family.
“It feels amazing because everything that I went through as a child and as a teenage years, Save the Family helped me get thru the tough times,” said Coakley.
