Phoenix Scholar House is an innovative program designed to empower single-parent families and break the cycle of poverty through education. This unique initiative is an education program that provides a comprehensive support system, including the possibility of affordable housing, to help families thrive.
Application Process
To be considered for housing, participants must first be accepted into the educational component of the Scholar House Program. Once admitted to the educational portion, candidates who require housing may move on to the housing application process.
Housing placement is subject to availability and specific eligibility requirements (such as income limits and credit history). Therefore, acceptance into the educational component initiates the housing process but does not guarantee placement.

- Complete all items on the pre-residential provided checklist
- Move into the housing unit
- Candidates must complete the online interest form
- The candidate will be scheduled to attend an in-person orientation and interview process.
- Upon completion of orientation, candidates must ensure they complete all items on the pre-residential provided checklist. Applicants will be scored by a point system established by the Scholar House on the completion of tasks.
- Upon successful completion of the pre-residential requirements, the candidate and family have the opportunity to move into the housing unit.
